1981 Chevrolet El Camino Classis showing 55,091 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage with a Buy It Now or best offer price. This means you can hit the Buy It Now button and own this sweet piece or take your chances and submit you best offer!
I call this one “ Lil'Sweet” , cause the color reminds me of a can of Dr Pepper!
This super clean 5th Generation El Camino showing 55,091 miles (unknown, exempt) is powered by the 229 CID V6 with Power Brakes, Power Steering, Automatic Transmission & Factory A/C. Some people like to throw rocks at a car with a 6-cylinder engine, but I like them because they are usually well preserved, never having been raced or beat on!
And this example proves my point with a well-cared for interior that is nearly in mint condition with a few scuffs on the door panels and minimal wear elsewhere (see all 100+ pics).
The exterior is good condition with paint that is starting to fade and may buff out or would be fine as is for a while if decided to have it resprayed at some point in the future. All of the trim and chrome is in good condition and still shows well.
The bed is in phenomenal condition having been protected by a heavy rubber mat that is carpeted ( see pics of the bed with & without the mat).
Under hood photos show the largely original engine compartment that has been well maintained throughout the years as is evident in photos.
Under side pics reveal a solid chassis with minimal superficial rust present on some components and a sweet set of air shocks installed in the rear for when you're going to haul a load.
This is a really well preserved example of the Iconic El Camino however, it is not perfect, there is a crack on the dash & some “scuff” marks on the door panels. The A/C blows well and distributes air properly however, it is not very cold and will need to be serviced as well to restore proper function, also the “check engine” light is on (the El Camino has not been driven for the past 5 or 6 years and it may reset after driving for a while, or not so please bid accordingly.
While this sweet 1981 El Camino runs and drives, it should be completely serviced before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability (due to our filming schedule, we cannot perform any additional work on this truck or build it for you SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS). The winning bidder may have the option of coming to the shop to pick up the truck.
If you're looking for a really cool El Camino, you won't find a better example that's priced to sell! This would be perfect for Cruise Night, Advertising and Promotional use or as a kick ass addition to your collection, you decide!
Clear Title, please check with your freight forwarder for a quote from Dallas TX 75229 we sell Internationally as well as locally and will end the auction when it sells.
