1947 Chevrolet Fleetline Fastback Coupe Project showing 51,156 original miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage.
Here is an extremely solid, unrestored and original (except for the brand new tires & wire wheels and bolt on lowering blocks in the rear) example of one of the coolest postwar designs to come out of Detroit. With a blending of Art Deco and Post War Aerodynamic design the “Aerosedan” is arguably one of the most sought after early GM cars.
This is an extremely solid car that was owned and care for by one family, having been stored in a controlled environment since it was last driven, the Original Interior and paint are in phenomenal condition. The engine however, is locked up and while the previous owners did try to free it up, it is currently still locked up, therefore this is listed as a non-running project that will need the original 216 CID 6-cylinder engine rebuilt or a suitable replacement sourced, you decide.
The exterior is as well preserved as any I've seen with all bright work present and in good condition, the original paint shows well with minor nicks and scratches (see all 100+ pics).
The interior is incredible with a well preserved dash that is complete and displays the Art Deco influence that Harley Earl brought to GM's lineup in the 40's.
Underside photos reveal a solid chassis that is complete and ready to be resurrected.
This 1947 Chevy Fleetline Coupe Project does not run and will need to be towed, shipped or trailered from the shop. it will need to be inspected to determine completeness (due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional work on this Car or build it for you). The winning bidder may come to the shop to pick up the car, or have it shipped.
If you're looking for a super cool Aerosedan Fastback Coupe Project, you won't find a better example that's priced to sell! This would be perfect for Cruise Night, Advertising and Promotional use or as a kick ass addition to your collection, you decide!
