1967 Buick Skylark Rare Sport Wagon Barn Find Project showing 60,177 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage!

How cool is this? A rare Buick Sport Wagon with the raised rear roof that features wrap around Sky Windows. The year is 1967 and the United States Launches Rockets to outer space on a quest to land a man on the Moon! What better way for the kids to keep an eye towards the sky than with the Buick Sport Wagons Panoramic Sky View Windows? GM shared this innovative design with the more common Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Wagon of the same period. The more Luxuruios and roomier Buick Sport Wagon is based on a lengthened Skylark Platform to accommodate the third row seat, upping the passenger capacity to 9!

This fairly well preserved example was discovered in a Barn here in Texas. It has not been started or driven in decades and is an excellent candidate for a full blown restoration project or as the basis of a super cool (and rare) Resto-Mod project, it even has a sweet set of Torque Thrust's already installed!

The exterior is in fairly solid condition with most of the trim present and usable (see all 100+ pics) with minimal superficial rust, it has that awesome Patina that only comes from years of hard work. The engine compartment appears mostly original with the factory air cleaner still present (something I always look for). Factory power Steering and Brakes are present as well!

The interior appears mostly complete but having suffered from the dry Texas heat, it will need a complete restoration or refurbishment, you choose.

Underside pics reveal the fairly solid and original chassis with superficial rust present on most components (see all pics).

While this is a fairly complete start to a kick ass project it is not perfect. The drivers interior door handle is broken and the door is not opening at this time, the L.R. door is missing the arm rest and interior handles and there are no keys (or battery) present so there has been no determination of the operational condition of any components ( nor will there ).

This awesome 1967 Buick Sport Wagon will need to be gone through completely before attempting to start for the first time or attempting to drive it to ensure safety and reliability.Due to our production schedule, we cannot perform any work on this Sport Wagon or build it for you, SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS. CLEAR Texas Title in Hand.
